After starting as a financial advice apprentice in 1986, Scott founded Baldwin Capital Management, Inc. in 1990. Originally, he focused solely on corporate retirement plans, but gradually started to accept wealth management clients which over time, have become an integral part of the practice. As the firm patriarch, he is immensely proud of his experienced and knowledgeable team of financial professionals. Today, he has the privilege and flexibility to work with a special group of families and corporations that he considers great family friends.
Scott and Susan, his bride of 35 years, live in Northville where they have raised three fine young men, Michael, Andrew, and Daniel. Although keenly focused on the direction and success of Baldwin Capital, he and Susan have found time to travel extensively, eat exceptionally well, make and bottle their own wine, and spend time with their sons and parents, while they wait patiently for a daughter-in-law or two. Scott still views Baldwin Capital as his ‘happily ever after’ place, and looks forward to great future adventures!
